We had chosen Gohrisch as our “rest” day in the middle of the tour. In fact we still managed to walk over 12 km. After looking around Gohrisch, where Shostakovich spent many summer holidays, we walked to the edge of the woods overlooking Königstein then back to Gohrisch, getting fantastic views of Pfaffenstein on the way. After a coffee we decided to do the climb up over Gohrischstein which was actually the start of the next day’s walk.
